Here at TUGG we were delighted to co-host the second annual Techies Got Talent show at the Hard Rock Cafe Boston on Wednesday, November 20. This year Music and Youth, a non-profit in our portfolio, was the recipient of the proceeds.
Powered by organizers Matt DiStefano of The Grommet, Kelly McDonald of Fashion Project, Harvey Simmons of EverTrue and Kelly Rice of Kinvey, this event paired well with the mission of Music and Youth. The organization provides music instruments and lessons to over 800 urban youths in Greater Boston.
Cheered on by well over 200 of their friends and colleagues, the performers threw it all down on the stage with a variety of soulful ballads, upbeat Top 40 mixes, beatboxing, comedy and a Chinese Yo-yo routine. Second place was taken by rockin' indie group Nemes. The winner, Lea Cefalu, brought down the house with her extended, original rhymes and fearless onstage rapping:

TUGG's BostInno channel has a great wrap-up of all three of our November events, including the Spartan Race at Fenway and the Dan Scharfman Memorial Run.
