Volunteer with TUGG and Help Dozens of Deserving Boston Families
TUGG is partnering with the Salvation Army to help families during the Holiday Season! At The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Castle, families in need in the community are invited to come and “shop” for holiday items and winter needs, including toys, coats, food vouchers and other items. We need volunteers like you to help over 16,000 people have the holiday they deserve!
Personal Shoppers: Volunteers will assist clients in their selection of winter and holiday items. In addition, volunteers assigned to this task will assure that clients leave the event with the appropriate items indicated by the intake form.
Toy Clerks: Volunteers in this position will replenish toys, keep the area organized and assist clients and personal shoppers as needed.
Coat Clerk: Clerks will keep the coat area organized and assist with clients as needed. In addition, volunteers will be replenishing the coat area.
Cleanup: Volunteers in the evening shift will assist with restocking items and organizing the castle/station in preparation for distribution the following day.
Security: Security will be on hand throughout the day to assist with any issues clients and/or volunteers may have.
Miscellaneous: Volunteers may be needed to do additional tasks during the day. In addition, there may be periods where volunteers will be waiting; therefore, we thank you in advance for your flexibility and patience.
Shifts: Volunteers will sign up for 2 hour shifts individually or in teams.
